Khotenashvili Started with Loss

 

The third stage of Women’s Grand Prix 2013-14 has started in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. Bela Khotenashvili (2514) is competing in the name of Georgia.

In the first round the Georgian chess player lost to Harika Dronavalli of India (2475) on the 29th move.

In the second round Bela will play Nafisa Muminova of Uzbekistan (2293) who lost to Xue Zhao of China (2579).

Khotenashvili won the first stage of Grand Prix in Geneva and took the 12th place at the second stage.

Grand Prix series consist of 6 stages and world’s 18 best women chess players are participating in it. Each of them will compete in four stages.

Prize money of each stage is 60 000 EUR.

I place – 10 000 EUR (+120 points +40 bonus);

II – 8 250 (+110 +20)

III – 6 750 (+100+10)

IV – 5 750 (+90)

V – 5 000 (+80)

VI – 4 500 (+70)

VII – 4 250 (+60)

VIII – 4 000 (+50)

IX – 3 250 (+40)

X – 3 000 (+30)

XI – 2 750 (+20)

XII – 2 500 (+10)
