Young Georgian Rugby Players Have Retuned from South Africa

 

Georgian young rugby players after South African probation have arrived in homeland today. First time in Georgian sport history 7 rugby players had training and preparation special course in Stellenbosh Academy.
This academy which locates in the city of South Africa, Stellenbosh is world-wide famous as the best rugby academy, where grow up talented and high qualified professionals. South African rugby players got education at this academy. Georgian and South African Rugby Federations signed up memorandum this spring and in a result of it Georgian players, coaches and referees were sent there for probation.
According to this memorandum South African specialists will work in Kutaisi and Tbilisi Rugby Academies. The first 7 rugby players were chosen from U-18 National Team, those players won bronze medals. Those players are the following: Lasha Lomidze (“Academy”), Levan Gogolashvili (“Academy”), Sandro Koiava (“Lelo”), Merab Sharikadze (“Academy”), Goderzi Chincharauli (“Lelo”), Zurab Dzneladze (“Aia”), Giga Gagoshvili (“Shevardeni”).
Charity fund “Kartu” played big role in their sending, meanwhile they finance Georgian A National Team and support developing of rugby infrastructure in whole Georgia.
