Bela Khotenashvili (2514), Georgian chess player, gained her first victory in the III stage of Women’s chess Grand Prix series 2013-14, which under ways in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Khotenashvili was playing with white pieces won over the owner of the lowest rating (2293) Nafisa Muminova at the 43th move.
On September 20, Bela will play with black pieces against one of the favorites of the competition – Chinese Zhao Xue (2579). This last defeated Russian Alexandra Kosteniuk (2495) with black pieces in the 2th round and became a leader with 2 points with Indian Humpy Koneru.
We remind, that Khotenashvili won the first round of Grand Prix in Geneva. And in the 2th round in Dilijan (Armenia) took the last 12th place.
The Grand Prix series consists of 6 stages and the World’s 18 strongest women chess players participate in it. Each of them will participate in 4 stages and each place will be marked with corresponding money prize and points.
The prize fund of each stage is 60 000 Euros and the money and points are distributes as follows: I place – 10 000 Euro (+120 points +40 bonus); II – 8 250 (+110 +20); III – 6 750 (+100+10); IV – 5 750 (+90); V – 5 000 (+80); VI – 4 500 (+70); VII – 4 250 (+60); VIII – 4 000 (+50); IX – 3 250 (+40); X – 3 000 (+30); XI – 2 750 (+20); XII – 2 500 (+10);
