Women’s Grand Prix 2013-2014 is underway in Geneva. After 5 rounds Bela Khotenashvili was half point behind the leaders – Anna Muzychuk and Kateryna Lahno. In the sixth round Nana Dzagnidze played draw with Muzychuk and Lahno – Wenjun Ju. Khotenashvili beat Tuvshintugs Batchimeg. Four chess players advanced with 4-4 points – Khotenashvili, Lahno, Muzychuk and Kosintseva.
In the 7th round Khotenashvili will play against Viktorija Cmilyte with black pieces. Nana Dzagnidze who has 3 points will play against Olga Girya.
12 chess players are competing in the tournament. Tbilisi will host V stage of Grand Prix 2013-14. The next tournament will be held from June 18 to July 2 next year.
Grand Prix consists of six stages. 60 000 EUR are for each stage: I place – 10 000 ევრო (+160 points), II – 8 250 (+130), III – 6 750 (+120), IV – 5 750 (+90), V – 5 000 (+80), VI – 4 500 (+70), VII – 4 250 (+60), VIII – 4 000 (+50), IX – 3 250 (+40), X – 3 000 (+30), XI – 2 750 (+20), XII – 2 500 (+10).
Winner of Grand Prix will play against champion of the planet in 2015.
