Khinchegashvili Won World Silver Medal

Freestyle wrestler Vladimer Khinchegashvili (57 kg) won silver medal at World Championship.

Khinchegashvili beat Andre Renato Quispe of Chile (10:0), Axmedmabi Guezzatilov of Azerbaijan (8:2), Uladzislau Andreyeu of Belarus (4:0) and Bekhbayar Erdenebat of Mongolia (6:3). In final the Georgian was defeating Kyong Li Yang of North Korea but finally lost.

Today champions and prize winners were also found out in 70, 86 and 125 kg. Aleksandre Jachvadze (70 kg), Davit Marsagishvili (86 kg) and Giorgi Sakandelidze (125 kg) wrestled in the name of Georgia. Unfortunately, all of them lost morning program.

Marsagishvili won over Dominic Klaus Peter of Austria (12:2) and Shengfeng Bi of China (13:2). In ¼ final the Georgian wrestler failed to Aslan Kakhidze of Kazakhstan (9:10). Kakhidze could not make through to final and Marsagishvili lost bronze medal chance.

Aleksandre Jachvadze and Giorgi Sakandelidze lost the first fights. Jachvadze failed to Yoan Blanco of Ecuador (4:5) and Sakandelidze – to Alexei Shemarov of Belarus (0:4).

Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in 61, 65, 74 and 97 kg. Beka Lomtadze (61 kg), Malkhaz Zarkua (65 kg), Jumber Kvelashvili (74 kg) and Elizbar Odikadze (97 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
