It was found out that, Georgian national tennis team will play in the first group of Euro-African zone at Federation Cup. As far as you know, Georgian tennis players are in Eilat, Israel, where the tournament is held on February 6-9.
Georgian national team (player-coach Maka Chakhnashvili, Sopho Shapatava, Ekaterine Gorgodze) plays against Belarusian national team, which is in Israel without the first seed of the world Viktorija Azarenka. On February 7 Georgian national team holds match against Croatia. On February 8 is held the last match against Austria, on February 9 are held play-off matches.
A group: Belarus, Austria, Croatia, Georgia.
B group: Great Britain, Portugal, Hungary, Bosia-Herzegovina.
C group: Poland, Romania, Israel, Turkey.
D group: Slovenia, Holland, Bulgaria, Luxembourg.
According to the regulations of the tournament, winner of group A will play against the winner of group C in play-off, the first-place winner of B plays against leader D. The winners of these couples will play in Fed Cup play-off. Two teams will regress in the second group of Euro-African zone.
