Chess Olympiad which takes place in Khanty Mansiysk continues successfully for Georgian teams. Three rounds have already been held. Georgian men's and women's teams have not lost even one point yet and they are among leaders.

In the previous round Georgian team played against Kazakhs and won 3:1. Nana Dzagnidze and Salome Melia won matches with white pieces. In the 4th round Georgian women will hold an important match. Russian 1st team will be their opponent. In the previous rounds Russians beat Bangladesh (4:0), Bosnia and Herzegovina (2.5:1.5) and Slovakia (3.5:0.5). Tatiana Kosintseva (2573), Nadezhda Kosintseva (2565), Alexandra Kosteniuk (2524), Alisa Galliamova (2482) and Valentina Gunina (2465) will play for Russian 1st team.
Georgian men's team held a difficult match against Mexico. Georgia was favorite in this match. Baadur Jobava lost on the first board and the team was in a difficult situation. Fortunately, Levan Pantsulaia and Tamaz Gelashvili won their matches. Merab Gagunashvili played draw and Georgia won 2.5:1.5.
Georgian team is one of those 14 teams which collected 6 points at men's tournament. According to the additional data, our team is in the 6th place.
In the 4th round, Georgian men will play against Norway. Magnus Carlsen (2826) is a Norwegian leader. Also Jon Ludvig Hammer (2633), Frode Elsness (2485), Frode Urkedal (2430) and Torbjorn Ringdal Hansen will play for Norwegian team.
