Batsiashvili Is a Leader in Wroclaw

 

The chess tournament has started in the city of Poland, Wroclaw. 10 chess players are participating in it and two of them are Georgians: Sophiko Guramishvili (2431) and Nino Batsiashvili (2419).

After 4 rounds the tournament has a leader and it is Georgian Batsiashvili. Nino has 3.5 points and is 0.5 point ahead of Monika Socko of Poland (2444).

Majdan-Gajewska of Poland (2384) is in the third place with 2.5 points. Other three chess players have 2.0-2.0 points and Guramishvili is among them. Sophiko is in the 5th place.

In the 5th round the Georgian chess players will play with black pieces. Batsiashvili will face Szczepkowska-Horowska of Poland (2376) and Guramishvili – Lilit Mkrtchian of Armenia (2469).

Nine rounds will be held at the Wroclaw tournament and it will end up on 6 October.
