Georgian volleyball team (born in 1997-1998) starts preparation for European Youth Festival which will be held in Tbilisi in 2015.

Georgian Volleyball Federation searched for tournaments and received some suggestions. In April, the team will participate in international tournament which will be held in Ankara.

“This tournament will be the first big experience for girls. The team will be gathered for this tournament and I hope that we will prepare well. Our main goal is to hold many international matches so that girls will be able to gain experience. 12 teams will compete in Ankara tournament.

Besides the hosts and us, Japan, Holland, China, Bulgaria, Finland, Korea, Albania, Greece, USA and German will participate in it. Our girls will hold many matches which is very important for a newly formed team” – stated president of Georgian Volleyball Federation Levan Akhvlediani.
