Vasil Maisuradze, new head coach of “Lokomotiv” Tbilisi and coach of the Georgian U-19 team, told “World Sport” that the team will prepare in Spain.

- When does your contract with “Lokomotiv” expire?

- I signed contract till May. Then, everything will depend on the situation in the team. Hopefully, everything will change for good. Almost all football players of the U-19 team who transferred from “Lokomotiv” to “Torpedo” Kutaisi returned to the team. These boys have the contracts with the club till May. Mate Tsintsadze went to “Dinamo” and the issue of Nika Akhvlediani is not clear yet. Dima Topuria, Lasha Chagiashvili and Kote Gugunava will help me in “Lokomotiv”.

- When will the team gather and where will you prepare?

- We will gather in Saguramo on January 15. It is almost decided that on January 27 we will depart for Spain for 12-14 days. We planned four friendly matches: against “Barcelona” U-19 club, “Hercules”, “Basel” U-21 club and the fourth team is not known.

- What does Lekso Topuria, president of the club, want you to do for the team?

- Our goal is to form one good team. The team must be ready for the elite round. Of course, we must win more matches at the national championship. It will be tough to move to Supreme League but we will do our best. If these boys have serious offers, Lekso Topuria will not prevent them from anything.

- Will not it be tough for you to work for the U-19 team and “Lokomotiv” at the same time?

- Most players of the U-19 team play for “Lokomotiv”. I want to thank the football federation for having faith in me.
