Urushadze Is the First in Russia again

“Yenisey-STM” Krasnoyarsk of Rati Urushadze and Valeri Tsnobiladze became winner of Russian Rugby Championship 2012.

Urushadze has played for Georgian national rugby union team for many years. He has scored 5 tries in 41 test-matches. 37-year-old veteran plays for “Yenisey” and became champion of Russia twice in a row. Because of his age he cannot spend much time on field anymore. He did not participate in final match.

As for Valeri Tsnobiladze, he was born and grew up in Kutaisi. He continued rugby career in Russia because he could not get in Georgian national team. Later, Valeri became citizen of Russia and became member of its national team.

In two-match final, “Yenisey” played against “Krasny Yar” of Grigol Tsnobiladze (brother of Valeri).

This match ended up 12:12. Last year’s champion advanced and won 40:3.

It is worth mentioning that “Yenisey” has not lost a match in the current season.

Only Valeri Tsnobiladze played from the Georgians in the decisive match.
