The last round of Georgian girls U-18 championship was dramatic. Nato Imnadze (2073) leader of championship unexpectedly lost with Ada Kukutiasi (1794) and stayed without a chance of playing at European championship. Nani Unapkoshvili (2023) beat the opponent without any problem at U-18 championship and became the champion of the country the second time in a row. Anna Kuchava (2047) also won in a hopeless position and as a result she will compete at European championship.
As for the final round of boys’ competition, as it was expected, all leaders managed to win. Nikoloz Kumsiashvili (2105) prize-winner and many times champion of Georgia managed to win the championship again. Aleksandre Ebralidze (2027) managed to win the II–IV places. “Facebook” web-page found out Miss and Mister of the championship during the tournament. Dea Gogishvili (1897) and Shalva Nadirashvili (2167) were winners in this nominee, they were awarded by Giorgi Giorgadze the president of Georgian Chess Federation.
