The first round of the Premier League completed and how do we assess? Compared to the previous season when “Dinamo” and “Dila” dominated, this time the level is equalized. Today “Dila” is not as strong as it was then, so the team of Dusan Uhrin have a greater chance of the Championship. If “Torpedo” Kutaisi did not stumble in last three rounds, today the situation at the top of the standings would be more confusion, however, “Chikhura” Sachkhere is in the 2nd place.
Here is one difference from previous seasons: the leader won over second placed 6:1, such contrast had not been after last century in the Georgian Championship. Conditions of “Dinamo” are also better than the other teams and this can be felt in the game.
If “Chikhura” is staffed with experienced players, “Torpedo” on the contrary has many young players, who play first season in the Premier League. In some moments this impacted on the team of Gerard Saragosa, however, they show good results.
This Championship is inferior to the previous level of play that does not surprise us any more: clubs are in difficult financial situations, a few good players went abroad. It should be told that the number of spectators reduced – for example, at “Mikheil Meskhi” or “Mtskheta Park” earlier came about 150-200 spectators and now their number dropped to 80. Basically there are relatives and friends of the players. Football without the fans lose its zest.

From the side of series, it is important to note 7 consecutive victories of “Dinamo” and 5 consecutive defeats of “Merani”. Leaving of Malkhaz Zhvania strongly affected on the team. After when Kakha Chkhetiani coached the team “Merani” did not even take a point. Also “Zugdidi” has 7 matches in a row without winning.
Two hat-tricks were performed and both by legionaries of Dianmo: Romanian Diron Goga against “Sioni” (4:1) and Spanish Chisko against “Chikhura” (6:1).
In the list of strickers first is Irakli Modebadze (9 goals), and the second is Dimitri Tatanashvili with 8 goals. They are experienced forwards, however both of them often were bothere by traumas, especially Modebadze.
