Tsintsadze returns to “Rock”

Georgian basketball national team point guard George Tsintsadze, who has changed 3 teams in the last season, will continue his career in the Estonian club “Tartu Rock”.

Tsintsadze’s European success is mainly connected to the Baltic team. In a year of 2006, when he first joined “Tartu Rock”, he became a prime point guard straight away.

For an outstanding performance in Baltic Cup and on Euro Challenge tournament, Tsintsadze has been crowned as the best player of Estonian championship in 2009.

Afterwards, George decided to find his way in more tough clubs but failed to do so due to a several problems. Lots of injuries and financial problems caused Tsintsadze to miss out last season.

“I cannot say that there were many choices for me however from which I had, I chose “Tartu Rock”. Next year I will have to play with the Georgian national team in European championship, so it is crucial for me to play for the team. I am well known in Tartu and head coach of the team is the same. Next season “Rock” will participate in three tournaments: Estonian championship, Baltic League, and Euro Challenge. I assume that returning to Tartu was a right thing to do”, - stated Tsintsadze.
