In the second half of the previous season there were three Georgians in "Zimbru": defender Bakar Mirtskhulava, midfielder Tornike Stepniashvili and forward Konstantine Gabashvili. As we found out, 19 players were released from the club and as for Georgians, only Stepniashvili will stay in the next season.

Stepniashvili is 20 years old and he plays for Georgian national U-21 team. Generally, it is interesting how he estimates Moldoval championship.

We took the sixth place, which caused a very negative reaction from everyone. For a club, which was one of the best clubs of the country and used to become champion, it was a big failure. 19 players are to be released form the club and they are going to create a new club, we all knew about it and I was thinking that I would be among them. I even started to search the club, but in some days the general director of the club called me in some days and told me that the head coach liked me and wanted me to stay in the club. I have a contract for a year and I will stay in the club.

-       11 matches, 2 goals- there is such statistics in this season. What is your possition?

-      My possition is a playmaker. I assisted 3 goals. I played 2 circles, before that I was in the doubles.

-       How was the level of Moldovan championship?

-     Of course, there are weak clubs too, but "Dachia" and "Sheriff" are strong clubs. I will not compare them to Georgian clubs. I cannot say which is better. But Moldovan championship is really a good start thats why I am in "Zimbru".

-       So, there is interest from managers, is not there? 

-     Of course.It is noticable. There was a verssion of "Chernomrets", but "Zimbru" denied to release me on the other club, I was not willing. I will play here for a year.

-        You played for U-21 team..

-     Last time I played against Denmark in a friendly match, when we lost in Tbilisi. This year our team had a meeting in Austria, but I could not play because I had a trauma.
