There Is a Real Chance of Championship

Two rounds finished at World Chess Championship which takes place in the city of Switzerland, Zurich. Four Georgian chess players are competing in this championship. At women's tournament Sophiko Guramishvili (2343) played draw with Swiss Monica Seps (2184). Then she defeated Judith Fuchs (2237) and collected 4.5 points.
After 6 rounds, Serbian Ljilja Drljevic (2273) is leader. She has 5.0 points. In the 7th round which will be held tomorrow, Guramishvili will play with white pieces against Drlijevic. If she wins she will take the first place.
Another Georgian chess player Tamar Tsereteli (2384) is near the leaders. She is in the 5th place with 4.0 points. Tsereteli played draw in last four matches. Two of them she played against Russian Zoja Severiukhina (2313) and Alisa Melekhina (2273) who is competing in the name of the USA.
In the 7th round, Georgian chess player will play with black pieces against Mongolian Dulamsuren Yanjindulam (2212).
At men's tournament Davit Benidze (2504) had the best result among Georgians. He is in the 4th place with 4.5 points. In last rounds Davit beat Dutch Roeland Pruijssers (2483) and Jewish Ilya Khmilniker (2483).
Serbian Dusan Popovic (2565) who has 4.0 points will be the next opponent of Benidze. Malkhaz Sulashvili (2500) also has 4.0 points and is in the 15th place. After beating Dutch Stefan Kuipers (2370), he played draw against Iranian Peyman Mohajerin (2366). Russian Pavel Ponkratov (2592) will be the next opponent of Sulashvili.
Chinese Yue Wang (2732) is leading World Championship. He has super rating for Youth Tournament. Wang played only one draw and won other 5 matches. In the 3rd round, he defeated Benidze with black pieces.
9 rounds will be held at World University Chess Championship and it will finish on September 11.
