Georgian Football Federation’s Appeals Committee, whose chairman is Tamar Tsereteli, lightened the sanctions to “Dila” Gori, “Sioni” Bolnisi, “Merani” Martvili and “Kolkheti” Poti imposed by the Disciplinary Committee. Keso Chkhikvadze, lawyer of Football Federation, informed “World Sport” about this.
On April 14 of this year, the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Federation fined “Sioni” Bolnisi by 25 000 GEL, “Dila” Gori and “Merani” by 23-23 000 GEL and “Metalurg” Rustavi and “Kolkheti” Poti by 20-20 000 GEL.
Disciplinary Committee made such sanctions after the petition of the Football Federation’s Justice Department. In this case, the Justice Department prepared the report based on UEFA fraud betting detection system. In particular, it covers the period of 2010-2013. According to the codex – article 126 part 3, the Disciplinary Committee has a right to fine the subjects of Football Federation, which hit UEFA report twice or more time, without any investigation.
“Metalurg” and “Kolkheti” hit the UEFA report three-three times, “Dila” and “Merani” – four-four times and “Sioni” five times. All of these clubs appealed Disciplinary Committee’s decision to the Appeals Committee.
Appeals Committee decided that “Dila”, “Sioni”, “Merani” and “Kolkheti” will pay 10000-10000 GEL. Appeals Committee will publish the report about “Metalurg” on Friday.
