The current season has finished for Zaza Pachulia. The Georgian center of “Atlanta Hawks” was at Mercy Hospital and his injured Achilles tendon was examined. Doctor Robert Anderson decided that operation is the only way to cure the injury of Zaza.

Danny Ferry, general manager of “Hawks”, made comment on it: “The decision of the doctors is right. We want Zaza to return 100% healthy. Unfortunately, operation is necessary”.

Perhaps, Pachulia will be operated on soon. Rehabilitation period will last 6 months. So, Zaza will not play at EuroBasket on September 4-22 in Slovenia.

Pachulia has not showed up on arena since March 3. He has participated in 51 games of NBA current season (in 15 lineups). His average results are 5,9 points, 6,5 rebounds and 1,5 assists in 21,8 minutes.
