The 7th Round of Georgian U-18 Chess Championship

 

Women’s and Men’s Georgian U-18 Chess Championship hosted by Tbilisi Chess Palace is coming to an end.

The 7th round matches were played at the tournament. Meri Arabidze is a leader among girls. She beat Nato Imnadze (4 points), collected 6,5 points and is 1,5 points ahead of other players. Nani Unapkoshvili and Lika Kobeshavidze are sharing the 2nd-3rd places with 5-5 points.

Unlike girls, men’s tournament is tense and leaders often change. Leader Nodar Lortkipanidze was beat by Giorgi Sibashvili (4). Zurab Javakhadze (4,5) and Irakli Beradze (4,5) won their matches and they overtook former leader.
