Teamur Ketsbaia head coach of Georgian National Team is satisfied after qualifying match of European Championship against Greece.
Internet site sportnet.gr spread his interview after the match “We were under big pressure by Greek team, but we managed to drew this match. We achieved the goal which will help us to the next matches. I want to congratulate my team and players. They did their best against team which is one of the leaders in our group. I m not dissatisfied, just I got tired. In spite of this that I did not run on the pitch I also spent big energy in this match. When you are advanced and ball is netted in your goal it is not pleasant but result was fair because Greece also created some moments in front of our goal”.
Former head coach of “Olympiakos” Pireaus gave an adequate answer to Greek journalist who did not have friendly attitude to Georgians when he was head coach of Greek football club:” You were worrying that I was head coach of “Olympiakos”. Now you are worrying that I am head coach of Georgian National Team. Why you hate me so much?  Enough! I will do my best for team. My country’s football considering to his past does not deserve to be in such condition. Something has already been done in Georgia. I know Greek football very well. I am not living here but I watch football matches. I know Greek players also. It is true that football what we watched on the pitch was not quite well but there is no doubt that we were inspired. We have such players who did not participate in the main staff of their clubs for a long time. To tell the truth, I was sure that could have positive result in this match. We are doing our best. Georgian fans protest that players do not sweat much during team’s matches. Today they showed that they are strong and inspired. We were not bests in strike, but were organized”.

Head coach of Greek National Football Team Fernando Santos who did not wait for drew, stated  the following after the match against Georgia:” It is true that, it is not result what we were waiting for. We started played bad, because of netted ball in our goal. Then we had big interval and were not playing uncoordinatedly due to worrying. We have difficulties in playing rhythm. We were able to play “open” football but played “closed”. After the first half I advised players to calm down. In the second half we improved playing and could win. We pressured rival much in the second half and owned ball for a long time. We netted one goal and had chance of scoring three-four and more goals”.
On September 7, The Hellenic side plays the next match against Croatia. Portugal head coach od Greek National Team expects another type playing against them:”
We are to play with defense tactic against Croatia, Because we meet stronger rival. To my mind we have problems in attack. We lose organize there easily. In a result of it opponent use it and starts contra-attack. We should learn how to use free place correctly in attack. In such case, we will not be obliged to run up and down. Croatia will play another football and to adapt it will be easy for us”.
 Midfielder of Greek National Team S. Papastathopoulos estimated match against Georgia:” It is difficult to change situation in a short time, when you get goal from the team which has lower level than yours one. We could not create danger in front of rival’s goal. Then opponent got tired and for scoring the second goal had 4-5 classic moments”.
