International Women's Tennis Tournament started in the city of Georgia, Telavi. 56 sportsmen from 17 countries participate in this tournament and the prize money is 25 000 USD,
Tournament started with qualifying round, where participated low rating owners. They will fight for 8 places which will play in the main wrap. On September 20 those players who are in the main wrap start competing.
All Georgian leading tennis players participate in this tournament besides top seed Ana Tatishvili, from the hosts Oksana Kashnikova, Maka Chakhnashvili, Tatia Mikadze, Sopho Shapatava, Manana Shapakidze, Eka Gorgadze, Ana, Jikia and Diana Davitaia compete in Telavi International Tournament.
Tournament which lasts till September 26 is being held by helping Telavi Municipality and Georgian National Olympic Committee. Liberty Bank and mineral waters “Borjomi” are sponsors of this tournament.
