In 1/8 final of the Bastad international tournament (Sweden, 235 000 USD) Anna Tatishvili lost to No.1 seed Serena Williams - 2:6, 3:6.

The Georgian tennis player won 3 serves of the American star but played really bad on her own serve.

Tatishvili stays in Bastad and will play in ¼ final of doubles draw tomorrow. Anna and Irina Buryachok of Ukraine will play the Italian-Romanian duet.

In case of victory, Tatishvili and Buryachok will face the Spaniards.

Yana Sizikova of Russia won over Georgians at the Darmstadt tournament (Germany). At first she defeated Sofia Kvatsabaia 7:5, 2:6, 7:6 (7:3) and then Ekaterine Gorgodze 4:6, 6:4, 6:2. In the first round Gorgodze beat No.2 seed Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Bulgaria 6:1, 6:4.

In doubles draw the Georgian girls were losing to the Dutch-German duet 4:6, 3:3 but one of their opponents retired due to injury.

In ¼ final the Georgians defeated Heisen of Germany and Prislan of Slovenia 6:4, 6:3. In semifinal Sofia and Ekaterine will play Shakovets of Germany and Zec-Peskiric of Slovenia.
