Anna started playing Jankovic aggressively and won her 8 serves but lost her own 9 times. In spite of that the Serbian had 10 double faults (Tatishvili had 6), Anna lost.
If the Georgian tennis player continues playing at such high level, she will return to Top 100. Tatishvili is in the 112th place with 624 points on WTA ranking.
Another Georgian girl Oksana Kalashnikova continues participation in “Rogers Cup”. Kalashnikova and Alicja Rosolska of Poland overcame the first round of doubles draw. In 1/8 final Oksana and Alicja will face No.5 seed duet of Sania Mirza of India and Jie Zheng of China. The Indian and the Chinese tennis players defeated Natalie Grandin of South Africa and Darija Jurak of Croatia 4:6, 7:6 (7:5), 10:2.
