Oksana Kalashnikova and Anna Tatishvili started the Toronto international tournament (2 million USD) with victories. In the first round of the qualifying draw Kalashnikova defeated No.8 seed Silvia Soler Espinosa of Spain 1:6, 6:4, 7:5. Tatishvili beat Gloria Liang of Canada 6:1, 6:2.

Jana Cepelova of Slovakia will be the next opponent of Oksana Kalashnikova. They played in doubles draw of Wimbledon together. Anna will face Johanna Larsson of Sweden.
