This week Georgian tennis players gathered in Batumi where the tournament (25 000 USD) is taking place. Four Georgians are in the main draw and three of them have “Wild Cards”: Maka Chakhnashvili will play Anna Zaja of Germany, Sofia Kvatsabaia – No.5 seed Ilona Kremen of Belarus and Ekaterine Gorgodze – Margarita Lazareva of Russia.
Opponent of Sofia Shapatava will be known after the end of the qualifying draw. 8 Georgians participated in the qualifying draw but all of them lost.
