The duet of Georgian Ana Tatishvili and British Heather Watson won the Midland international tournament (prize fund 100 000 USD).

Their duet was No.4 seeded and in the semifinal they defeated Americans – Nicole Melichar and Natalie Pluskota 6:1, 6:4. In final they overcame Canadian-American duet (Sharon Fichman – Maria Sanchez) 7:5, 5:7, 10:6.

Bu wining the Midland tournament, Tatishvili and Watson earned 140-140 ranking points.

It should be also noted that British tennis player beat Russian Ksenia Pervak 6:4, 6:0 in the singles final.
