99% Showing of Tatishvili and First Victory in Australia

 

Georgia’s first seed Ana Tatishvili went through the qualifying stage of Australian Open tournament and in the match, which lasted two hours defeated Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak 3:6, 6:2, 6:4.

It should be noted that after losing the first set, Ana fell behind the opponent in two sets (0:2), however, then she won 6 games in a row and brought the case to the deciding set, in which she also looked better Canadian.

Last meeting the opponents had perfect showings on the first serve:  Wozniak – 96%, Tatishvili – 99%.

The Georgian tennis player has not served an ace, won that only second serve and of course without double mistakes. At the first serve, she won 59% (from 47 79) of balls.

Tatishvili used 6 break-points of 10, Wozniak – 4 of 8. In total, Ana won 14 times more than Canadian – 93:79.

With this victory, the Georgian tennis player gained 20 ranking points, in the second round she faces Russian Ekaterina Bychkova.
