Ana Tatishvili, Georgian tennis player, suffered failure in the first match of the qualifying draw of “Sony Open Tennis” (prize fund 5 427 105) in Miami.
The point is that Tatishvili received 22 break-points in the match against 43-year-old veteran Japanese Kimiko Date-Krum and used 8 of them, she lost 7 times and most importantly made 17 (!) double mistakes.
Finally, the match lasted for 2 hours and a half and Date-Krum won 6:4, 2:6, 7:6 (7:4). Thus, Ana lost a good chance of making through to the main draw of the prestige tournament, because in the decisive round her opponent was unknown Canadian Fransua Abanda, who suddenly defeated Spaniard – 3:6, 6:1, 6:2.
