Georgian top seed Anna Tatishvili is in Charleston and will participate in Family Circle Cup (795 707 USD). Anna has to defend 40 ranking points which she earned last year.
Last year Tatishvili beat Arantxa Rus of Holland 1:6, 6:4, 6:4. In the second round she lost to No.17 seed Marina Erakovic of New Zealand 5:7, 3:6.
It is known that this year Anna will play against No.15 seed Sabine Lisicki of Germany.
Lisicki won the Charleston tournament in 2009. She is in the 37th place on WTA ranking. Tatishvili is world No.60.
The German and the Georgian tennis players played against each other at the Cincinnati tournament in 2008. Lisicki beat the Georgian 5:7, 7:5, 6:0.
If Tatishvili takes revenge, she will defend 40 ranking points. Her next opponent will be winner between Kristina Mladenovic of France and one of the winners of the qualifying draw.
