Tatishvili defeated No.10 seed Jie Zheng of China 5:7, 6:1, 6:2 and veteran No.14 seed Kimiko Date-Krumm of japan 6:3, 6:4.

In the main draw Tatishvili will face No.16 seed Maria Kirilenko of Russia.
