Tatishvili at Sony Ericsson Open

Today in the evening in the city of Florida Miami starts qualifying matches of Sony Ericsson Open. Georgian top seed Anna Tatishvili is to compete at this tournament. Prize money of this tournament is 4 500 000 $, because this competition is premier class.  
Two rounds are enough for going through the main wrap at this competition. For going through the first circle is gained 20 rating points and 12 winners of qualification gain 30 points. 21-year-old Tatishvili did not compete at Miami tournament last year.  
It is worth mentioning that Tatishvili advanced with two places in renovated ranking of WTA and keeps the 125th place, recording ranking for her career. She owns 540 points, her first rival is 24-years old Austrian Patricia Mayr No. 16 seed. Patricia Mayr who is called as Mayr-Achleitner after married was top 70th seed of world last year and plays against Tatishvili first time. In case of winning Tatishvili will play against Austrian Tamira Pahek (89th seed, No.9 seed) or Spanish Nuria Lagostera Vive (122nd  seed). Wozniacki Caroline, Clijsters Kim and Zvonareva Vera are seeded in top three.
 The first qualifying matches start at 18:00 o’clock Tbilisi time. The match between Tatishvili and Mayr takes place on the 5th court.

Oksana Kalashnikova No.2 seed of Georgia still is staying in China, after Sayn tournament she is to compete at Kunming competition (prize money 25 000 $). Her first rival is Saisai Zheng. In couple’s tournament she and Ukrainian Beigeltsimer (No.3 seed) play against Chinese duet (Yi-Yi). Sopho Shapatava and Sopho Kvatsabaia are still in France, they are to compete at Gonese tournament (10 000). Shapatava No.2 seed plays against host Lea Toley as for Kvatsabaia she plays against Italian Joya Barbieri No.4 seed.
Three Georgian tennis players lost in the first match of the tournament which is underway in the city of Turkey, Antalya. Tamar Tskhakaia lost with Romanian Claudia Antonia Enache 0:6, 1:6. Ani Gokvadze lost with Serbian Dunia Sukich No.7 seed with the same results. As for Barbare Eristavi, she lost Brazilian Priscila Garcia (No. 13 seed) – 1:6, 0:6.
Injured Ekaterine Gorgodze is in the main wrap and her rival’s name will be found out in qualification. In couple’s tournament Gorgodze and Belarusian Milevskay No. 4 seed duet plays against Turkish Chetin and Kayroon.  
Giorgi Revazishvili who competes at men’s tournament won over Dimitar Petrov 5:7, 6:4, 6:2 and then lost with German Ivo Mijich 0:6, 0:6.
