Talakhadze Lifted Europe with One Hand

The next competition day of the current European Championship among U20 and U23 heavy athletes, which is under way in Tallinn (Estonia) ended with the Georgian triumph. Lasha Talakhadze (+105 kg) won the gold medal among U20 team.

It should be noted, that the Georgian athlete overall standings, won in snatch and also in clean and jerk and in total he gained 3 gold medals. And it should also be noted that he was perceptibly ahead of his opponents.

In the snatch, Talakhadze raised 182 and 190 kg weight and not even used the 3rd attempt. The same happened in clean and jerk, where he after 210 kg took 225 kg, he collected 415 kg and because he was 40 kg (!) ahead of Karen Martirosyan (Russia), the 3rd attempt he left unused again.

Even more significant was the advantage of Lasha to the winner of 3rd place Bartosh Lozinski. The Georgian athlete surpassed him with 55 kg (!)…

Viliamin Aleksidze also tried his best in 105 kg weight category among U20 yesterday, but he took the 5th place with 341 kg. The Georgian athlete was the 5th in snatch with 150 kg and in clean and jerk the 4th with 191 kg.

The champion of this weight has become Russian Timur Naniev, who collected 400 kg and surpassed the silver medalist Yaroslav Samoraâ (Poland) with 43 kg (!).
