Croatian specialist Ivo Susak was always praising Georgian football. Former head coach of "Dinamo" Tbilisi and "The Lelos" stated in the conversation with dalje, that Croatian team would hold more difficult match against Georgia than against Greece.
Susak attended a friendly match between Slovenia and Georgia in Koper and will inform Slaven Bilic, head coach of Croatian team, about Georgians' playing.
"I said it before and I have not changed my opinion, that Georgia is a football country. They have talented players like us. Foreign coaches of Georgian team did not work well for the team but I think, it was not in my case. Georgians were happy when the team coached by me won over Russia 1:0 in 2003. Now Temur Ketsbaia is coaching the team and he does it quite well" - stated Susak.
A 62-year-old specialist talked about politics and mentioned, that Croatia and Georgian have a lot in common:
"Like Croatia, Georgia has the same territory and population. They lost two regions during the independence period.
Euro qualifying match of Group F between Georgia and Croatia will be held on March 26 in Tbilisi. These teams will play in Croatia on June 4. Ivica Olic, forward of "Bayern" Munich, will miss both matches because of injuries.
"I think, we will hold more difficult match in Tbilisi than in Athens. I am sure, that the stadium will be crowded in Tbilisi" - stated Susak who soon will be appointed as a head coach of "Hajduk" Split. Now he is coaching "Zagreb".
