Champion Russian first team won all the games and was ahead with 4 points to Chinese team. We won over Chinese team and unfortunately lost with Serbian team. We had chance of winning the second place.
Georgian men’s team started successfully this Olympiad, after five victories they were on the first place but in the second part of the tournament we played against very strong opponents and could not keep our positions. Finally, Georgian men’s team took the 30th place, which means that we should work much in team.
Unfortunately, Georgian males did not succeed at European Championship which was underway in the city of Georgia, Batumi. Georgian females played much better than males.
It is worth mentioning that FIDE was satisfied with organizing of the tournament and sent letter of thanksgiving to Georgian Chess Federation. Pole Chess federation also has sent letter of thanksgiving to Georgian one. Estonia, France. Bulgaria and other countries also were grateful.
