After transfering to Belgian "Pepinster", everyone looked forward to debut of Tornike Shengelia, forward of Georgian basketball team. "Pepinster" did not play in the first round of the championship (9 teams are participating in Belgian Championship). Its next opponent "Sarlerua" was competing in Eurocup and did not have time to play against "Pepinster". In the third round, team of Georgian player held first official match of the season.
Yesterday team of Shengelia visited "Antwerp" which had already held 2 matches and won both of them. "Pepinster" won first half with 17-point difference (57:40) and they did not find it difficult to win the match - 98:84.
Young Georgian basketball player had a good debut. Shengelia was a reserve player. He scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and one blocked shot-assist-turnover within 18 minutes. Georgian player got 4 personal fouls and 2 fouls were committed against him. Team of Georgian player will hold the next match on October 23 when "Pepinster" will visit "Mons".
