Soso Pruidze: "The First Goal Decided Everything"

After losing to “Neftchi” Baku in Europa League III qualifying round, Soso Pruidze, head coach of “Chikhura” Sachkhere, stated the first goal turned out to be decisive.

Soso Pruidze: “At the pre-match press conference I stated we would be in tough situation after the first goal. We lost concentration. Koripadze and Jigauri who are forwards played in midfield. After the first half I told the boys to respect the spectators and do their best. The boys did everything they could.

- After the first goal “Chikhura” played better in offence. Do not you think you had to play in this style from the beginning?

- In the second half we played in offence. “Neftchi” has quicker football players than us. They play in offence better. I think we started the match right but the first goal decided everything.

- What did the team lack? Was it maximum? Do you think the Georgians should learn from the Azerbaijani football?

- I would not have the football players who play for “Neftchi” in my team. Turkey is better example. This country has experienced legionaries and young Turk players are growing up with them.

- Gabedava and Datunaishvili have left “Chikhura”. Is Rekhviashvili also going to leave the team?

- When we came back from Baku, Gabedava and Datunaishvili signed contracts with “Samtredia”. Rekhviashvili is in the team and hopefully, he will stay. We do not have such budget to pay huge amount of money, like “Dinamo”, “Zestafoni”, “Dinamo” Batumi and “Samtredia”. We added Denis Dobrovolski. Also, we are holding negotiations with other two foreign players.
