At one sight it seems nothing but, for Georgian football reps and fans it is important news. Since that FIFA named Russia as the host country of World Championship 2018, Sergey Fursenko the president of Russian Football Union stated the following:” we have to do our best players from the CIS to be given chance of playing in Russian National Team. Not only players from CIS, players from Post Soviet Union also have to be given chance of it. That’s why we want to pass law and that’s why they will not be considered as legionaries. But the talk is about such players who will not have played in their national teams”.

Everything is clear. Fursenko is searching easy ways. Supposedly Executive Committee of Russian Football Union will agree with his decision. “it is our aim to win 2018 mundial and now we want to develop our football”-added Fursenko.  
The chairman of Russian football gives dangerous signal to Georgia also. There are a lot of examples, when young Georgian player takes citizenship of Russia and agrees playing in Russian national team. Unfortunately, there is big chance to increase probability of it.
It goes without saying that Fursenko’s main aim was to win Georgian talented players over.. Russian Premier League is attractive for Georgian players, especially with finance side.
