24 hours before the end of putting up presidential candidatures of Georgian Football Federation, only one person has put up his candidature in General Secretariate of GFF (head Revaz Shengelia). 20 electoral subjects from 33 named current president Zviad Sichinava as their favorite candidate.
According to the regulations, candidates cannot put up their candidatures 10 days before holding congress. At the same time, candidate must send a confirmation letter to secretariate that he is agree to participate in the elections. Revaz Shengelia informed "World Sport" that Zviad Sichinava had not sent letter to secretariate by 18:00 on January 11. Other 13 subjects have not presented their candidate.
According to the regulations, if the situation is the same by 18:00 on January 12, executive committee of GFF must gather to fix a new date of electoral congress.
