Two Georgian basketball players played in NBA after a long pause. It was pleasant to watch Tornike Shengelia playing. He returned to “Brooklyn Nets” after recovering from injury.
“Brooklyn Nets” visited “Clippers” in Los Angeles almost with the second club. Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Andrei Kirilenko did not play in “Nets”. That is why, “Nets” called up Shengelia from “Springfield Armor” and gave him 8:13 minutes to play.
The Georgian forward missed 2 points and 3 points, committed 3 fouls and earned only one assist. It is worth mentioning that “Nets” resisted “Clippers”. Before the final quarter the guests were winning with 1 point but finally, lost – 103:110.
Andray Blatche was the best from “Nets” with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Mason Plumlee also had 19 points. Tyshawn Taylor earned 13 points in 15:16 minutes. Mirza Teletovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina scored only two points in 10:04 minutes.
The leaders of the Los Angeles club were the best again. Blake Griffin made a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. DeAndre Jordan earned 9 points and16 rebounds. J. J. Redick gained 26 points.
“Brooklyn Nets” is in the last place with 3 wins and 6 losses in Atlantic Division. The club is in the 13th place in Eastern Conference. The team of Shengelia will hold the next game against “Portland Trail Blazers” on November 19.
“Milwaukee Bucks” of Zaza Pachulia is in the last place in Eastern Conference. The club lost to “Oklahoma City Thunder” 79:92 and has 2 wins and 7 losses.
It is worth mentioning that the captain of the Georgian national team is very active and had 27 (!) offences. He used only 5 shots. Zaza earned 7 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 36:40 minutes.
Pachulia scored 3 from 12 2 points, missed 3 points, had 3 turnovers and received 3 personal fouls.
O. J. Mayo was the best from the host team with 22 points. Ekpe Udoh made a double-double with 11-11 points and rebounds. Caron Butler, Ersan Ilyasova, Brandon Knight, Carlos Delfino and Larry Sanders could not help “Bucks”.
The club of Pachulia will hold the next game against “Portland Trail Blazers” on November 21. Before that, “Blazers” will face “Brooklyn Nets” of Shengelia.
