Georgian tennis player Sopo Shapatava was involved in the Monterey tournament (Mexico, 25 000 USD) and celebrated the first victory.

In the initial stage Shapatava participated in the doubles competition. Sopo and Argentinean Florencia Molinero beat Argentinean Podoroska and Mexican Zarazua 6:1, 6:2.

In ¼ final the Georgian-Argentinean duet will face Yegiolka (Poland)/Vienerova (Slovakia) or Ermoso (Mexico)/Pous-Tio (Spain).

It’s a matter of course that Shapatava will also play in the singles tournament of Internacional Femenil Alpino Chipinque 2014. In the first circle her opponent will be Serbian Dorotea Eric.

In the initial round of Shimkent tournament (Kazakhstan, 10 000 USD) Sopo Kvatsabaia overcame Uzbek Yulia Kim 6:1, 6:0 and in 1/8 final plays against Belarusian Viktoria Mun.
