Georgian tennis player Sopo Shapatava successfully participates at the international tournament (250 000 USD), which is under way in Bogota, Colombia.

In the first round of qualifying draw Shapatava (No.7 seed) beat Spanish Laura Pou – Tio 6:3, 6:3, then overcame Belgian Isalin Bonaventure 3:6, 6:3, 6:1.

By beating them Sopo earned 14 ranking points and if she overcomes Lara Arubarena in the decisive round the Georgian will earn 18 points and makes through to the main draw.

In the doubles tournament of Copa Claro Colsanitas the Georgian tennis player and Russian Marina Melnikova will face Spaniards – Lourdes Dominge Lino and Aranca Para Santoya.
