Sarajevo will host World Championship among young judokas from tomorrow including Sunday. The Georgian team will compete with 10 sportsmen.
Giorgi Gugava, head coach of Georgian team, in four of the eight weight categories: 60, 90, 100 and +100 kg put 2-2 apprentices in the list, in 73 and 81 – one and in 55 and 66 left free.
Levan Matiashvili (+100kg), current champion of Europe, will wrestle in Bosnia and Herzegovina, also will wrestle owners of silver medal, Vazha Margvelashvili (60kg) and Beka Gviniashvili (90kg), also owners of bronze medal, Levan Gugava (73kg) and Guram Tushishvili (100kg), but Gviniashvili gained the medal in 81 kg weight category last year.
I remind, that the team, trained by Giorgi Gugava, gained 1 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals in Euro Championship 2012 and took the 3rd place.
