International tournament continues in Gurgaon (India), in which two Georgian chess players participate. One of them, concretely, international grandmaster Tornike Sanikidze (2541) is among the leaders after 8 rounds.
Sanikidze gained 6.5 points and is in the 4th place, besides him, Martin Kravtsiv (Ukraine, 2628), Alexander Evdokimov (Russia, 2558), Sahaj Grover (India, 2478), Raguram Prasana (India, 2399), Vikramadita Kulkam (India, 2336) and Mishra Svaims (India, 2426) are also among the leaders.
All parties of leaders ended in draw last round. Sanikidze played draw with Kravtsiv with black pieces and in the 9th round he faces Grover.
Another Georgian participant of this tournament, Merab Gagunashvili (2547) played draw with Indian Kartik (2179) with white pieces and is in the 27th place with 5.5 points among 250 participants. In the 9th round, Gagunashvili will play against Indian Kelkar Abhisek (2277) with black pieces.
