The second day of World Sambo Championship turned out successful for the Georgian team. Three Georgian sportsmen wrestled on the match and all of them won medal. The championship is under way in Saint Petersburg.

Vakhtang Chidrashvili became world champion in 57 kg. In the final he beat Ivan Aniskevic of Belarus. Lasha Guruli (100 kg) lost to Viacheslav Mikhailin of Russia and won silver medal. Kakha Mamulashvili (74 kg) won bronze medal.

Yesterday champions and prize winners were also found out in combat sambo. Davit Chabukashvili (82 kg, combat sambo) competed in the name of Georgia but he could not take a prize place.

On 24 November champions and prize winners will be found out in other 9 weight categories. Ushangi Kuzanashvili (62 kg), Niko Kutsia (82 kg), Nodar Metreveli (+100 kg) and Irine Leonidze (+80 kg) will compete in the name of Georgia.
