Giorgi Edisherashvili (55 kg), Levan Kelekhsashvili (66 kg) and Davit Kerashvili (96 kg), members of the Georgian freestyle wrestling team, won two-two fights at World Championship in Budapest. They made through to ¼ final.

Edisherashvili defeated Mihran Jaburyan of Armenia (6:2) and Levan Metreveli of Spain (4:1). Kelekhsashvili won over Arun Kumar of India (8:0) and Ayad Ibrahim Khalil of Egypt (8:1). Kerashvili beat Jaegang Kim of South Korea (2:1) and Ezgon Shala of Albania (12:5).

In ¼ final Giorgi Edisherashvili will face Nariman Israpilov of Russia, Levan Kelekhsashvili – Alexandr Kontoyev of Belarus and Davit Kerashvili – Reza Yazdany of Iran.
