Tbilisi City Court session lasted 5 hours. The judge ordered two-month pretrial detention of all 8 referees. The referees are facing 4 to 6 years imprisonment.

The defense called the decision of the judge ungrounded and unfair. According to the lawyers, the judge did not have enough evidence to make such decision.

Yet, it is not known if the lawyers will appeal this decision.

The state prosecutor stated officials of the Georgian Football Federation and football players may also be involved in this case.

On September 24 the MIA officers detained 8 referees on the fact of commercial bribery.
