“Samtredia” which plays in Supreme League has much difficulty. No one appeared to sponsor that club, that’s why there is big possibility “Samtredia” to stop playing in this current championship. According to deputy majority of this region Avtandil Sturua, clubs issues will be solved soon.
To write down this article inspired me “Samtredia” fan club’s letter for Avtandil Sturua, in this letter was demanded Sturua fulfill all the things what was promised before election. ”World Sport” took an interview from the chief of the “Samtredia” Zaza Adeishvili. He told real condition of the club.
-  Is there any news about club’s owner?
We do not have any information about it yet. I can say the only one thing, that local government really worries about it and does its best to improve situation. Deputy majority, the Governer and their deputies have strong wish to help us. Before appearing sponsor they help us financially, there is some firm or person who can financially help us, but only once.
- How much is liabilities to players and club’s staff?
- In fact since July our club exists with credits. We did not give August’s salary to players and staff. To finance club’s feeding, medical care, transportation and other necessary expense is about 20-22000 GEL. This is the minimum what we need.
- Is there talk to Regional Administration to finance all this money?
- First of all we need money for salaries and existence of club. These negotiations take place every day and I hope that everything will be all right. Club is not only salary, if I cannot take players to Tbilisi and cannot house them in hotel, problem is not solved.
-There was spread such information that due to finance problems players stopped training.

– As Mark Twain says- information is exaggerated. For two days were strong winds and it damaged electro suppliers at the stadium where players live, due to it we are without water and electricity. Heavy rains also added it and due to all this we did not train only one day. Nowadays everything is reproduced and club prepares for the next match, which will be held next week against “Dinamo” in Tbilisi.
After beating “Torpedo”, club confirmed that we are quite well prepared for this season. 2 week late of salary is not surprise for Georgian football clubs, but the main problem is that we do not have sponsor. Coaching process, planning, match is based on this factor.

- Last year, Kakha Kaladze who is from Samtredia and still has close relations with this region helped club financially. There was talk that was possibility to own “Samtredia”by his representative, is not there any progress in it?
- We did not disturb him this year, because we have communication problem. And now when “Samtredia” being or not being is question, we want by helping you to send ask of  Zaza Adeishvili chief of “Samterdia” to Kakha Kaladze-  Any kind of help from Kakha Kaladze’s side to his hometown club, in spite of that he has bad memories to it, will be curable medicine for sick.

Yesterday we connected to deputy majority of Samtredia Avtandil Sturua and he provided us all the information about club’s possible future owner.
- Mister Avtandil is there any news about sponsorship of “Samtredia”?
- I have intensive negotiations to solve this problem. I met once again to the president of Georgian Football Federation Zviad Sichinava and talked about this problem. According to his information, today he meets Prime Minister of Georgia and will discuss club’s problems. Two months ago I had private talk to Nika Gilauri, who promised me that the government would work to find any sponsor for “Samtredia”.
As far as you know, President of Georgia constructed ministers to find some sponsor for “Samtredia” and Football Federation also does its best. Today I have private meeting with Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Lado Vardzelashvili I have already offered local government to work about anti-crisis plan, until appears sponsor for the club. Local government should have strong interest that football what was the main priority for regional sport life for years save. Our regional budget is small but in spite of this, we should find several thousand GEL for current liabilities for saving club until appearing real spknsor.
-  Is there any version of real sponsor?

- We have serious negotiations with “Rompetrol”. Maybe somebody thinks that when initiative comes from the government they push someone to sponsor. But this company has never had relations with football and there are a lot of details which should be discussed. I am sure that business and Georgian football will find common language in this case.
- Cannot you date, when is possible to get real result?
- For Monday (September 20) will be known all the results after meeting with Prime Minister and Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs.
