Ketsbaia on "Newcastle" and Pardew

Temur Ketsbaia, head coach of the Georgian national team, talked about his former club “Newcastle”. Ketsbaia stated Alan Pardew will become a legend if he wins FA Cup or League Cup.

In “Newcastle” Ketsbaia lost two finals in a row, in 1998 and 1999 – against “Arsenal” and “Manchester United”.

“Unfortunately, it is unreal for “Newcastle” to win Premier League. It is tough to compete with “Chelsea”, “Manchester City”, “Manchester United” and “Liverpool” but “Newcastle” can win Cup.

... I played in Cup’s final twice. I wanted to win title. The Cup’s final is a miracle.

... When I was in “Newcastle”, the club managed to buy famous football players. However, situation has changed now. The problem of “Newcastle” is that in one season the club is fighting for European tournaments and in another season it is trying to stay in Premier League. The composition of the club is changing every year. It is very tough for coach”.
