Three Clubs of Georgians in Pro D2 Play-off

 

Pro D2 of the second elite division of French rugby regular tournament ended up and three clubs of seven Georgian legionaries will fight for going through Top 14 and one club will say goodbye to elite.

It can be said that three Georgians will participate in the final. Because “Brive” plays against “Aurillac” and as you know Irakli Natriashvili, Goderdzi Shvelidze and Davit Khinchegashvili play for “Brive” and Levan Datunashvili, Karlen Aseishvili and Giorgi Natsarashvili for “Aurillac”. So, one of them really will play in the final.

In the decisive round of regular championship, “Brive” played against “Ex-an- Provance” and beat in a tense match 30:25. Khinchegashvili who will start the next season in “Racing Metro” was not in the line-ups. Only Shvelidze was in the staff and at the 22nd minute he was sinbined and at the 51th minute he was substituted. Natriashvili appeared on the field at the 51th minute, and played for 15 minutes. “Brive” has 4 points and guaranteed playing in the semi-final of play-off.

“Aurillac” needed 1 point for guaranteeing the fifth place. It beat “Baziers”. Shekilashvili played till the 51th minute for the hosts and Natsarashvili till the 48th minute. Finally the match ended 18:24 in favor of “Aurillac”,

Now Giorgi Chkhaidze, Giorgi Nemsadze, Davit Dadunashvili and Irakli Mirtskhulava’s “Tarbes” which plays against “Narbone” on May 8, is 6-point behind them and does not have any chance of overcoming.

 “La Rochelle” took the third place in play-off.

“Massy” of Shalva Sutiashvili and Davit Ashvetia said goodbye to Pro D2. In the last match only Ashvetia was in the staff and was substituted at the 71th minute.

“Alby” of Vakhtang Akhobadze, Kakha Koberidze, Vakhtang Maisuradze, Giorgi Tetrashvili and Aleksandre Todua beat “La Rochele” in final 34:21. Tetrashvili and Todua were in the start line-ups, the first one was substituted at the 62th minute and the second one at the 65th minute. Maisuradze played from the 44th minuite.

“Lyon” of Guram Kavtidze lost “Karkason” 12:52. Kavtidze played since the 49th minute. “Dax” of Tariel Ratianidze beat “Osh” 15:6. Georgian first-liner played in the first time and was substituted, but in the last two minutes he again returned to the field.

The playoff semi-finals will take place on 11 and 12 may, and the final is scheduled for May 19.
