On the second day of the 41st Chess Olympiad the Georgian men’s and women teams celebrated victories and are among the leaders.
The Georgian men defeated IBCA 4:0. Baadur Jobava (2713), Levan Pantsulaia (2581), Gaioz Nigalidze (2542) and Konstantine Shanava (2563) won their games.
The Georgian team has 4 points and is in the 6th place. France, Netherlands, Germany, Cuba and Italy are ahead.
In the third round the Georgians will face Turkey.
The Georgian women’s team beat Montenegro 3:1. Salome Melia (2475) lost to Marija Stojanovic (2100). Nana Dzagnidze (2550), Bela Khotenashvili (2494) and Nino Batsiashvili (2435) won their games.

In the third round the Georgian women will play Italy.
